About the event
Whether you’re rolling out a yoga mat for the very first time or practice regularly, this class is for you! If you’re brand new, Back to Basics will introduce you to the practice of yoga and help you begin to build a foundation. If you’re already a seasoned yogi, Back to Basics will help you slow down and revisit your foundation. This class will be slower-paced and will not be a flow style class. During class we will touch on topics of breath, alignment in foundational poses, and meditation. Yoga has many benefits, including tuning into the present moment, developing the breath, and stregthening both body and mind. Come, meet me on the mat, learn, explore, and play in a supportive space.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to get settled before class begins. You should bring your own yoga mat, but all other props (2 blocks, a bolster, blanket, and eye pillow) will be provided. Please feel free to bring anything else you feel would help make your class more comfortable. Dress in cozy clothes and warm layers, as the stillness of this yoga stye can cause you to get a bit chilly. This class is intended for adults. Teens are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent. Class is $10 and can be paid in cash at class.
If you have registered and cannot make it to class, please email me at heather.yoga@icloud.com as soon as possible. Cancelations will not be accepted via Instagram or Facebook. I understand that life can get in the way, but as much notice as possible is very much appreciated. After three cancelations with less than six hours notice, a non-refundable, non-transferable advance payment will be required upon receiving your registration for each class.
In keeping health and wellness of ourselves and those around us at the forefront of our practice, please do not attend if you or a member of your household is not feeling well. A face mask is not required, but you're always welcome to wear one if it makes you more comfortable. *These guidelines are subject to change.
